I had the privilege of branding the inaugural "Fashion Breathes Life" fundraiser gala for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Charlotte Chapter. I wanted the branding and marketing materials to reflect the high-end fashion show that will include top designer fashions present by Charlotte-are boutiques.
Toolbox Bids is a small startup business that pairs homeowners with local, hand-picked contractors. They needed an identity, as well as, a website design and illustrations.
Their main priority for their brand was to feel: inviting, friendly, and clean. Starting out, they are focusing on painting contractors, but eventually want to expand into all parts of the industry. The logo needed to be versatile – to represent the many different type of services contractors may offer – while maintaining a minimal, clean feel.
The style of the logo is carried over into the illustrations and website design to create an overarching brand. With all of these components combined, Toolbox Bids has a unique, eye-catching identity that reflects the simplicity and effectiveness of their services.
I designed the save-the-dates and invites for the celebration of Devin & Dan Buchanan's wedding. I've been itching to design a wedding invite, and I'm glad they gave me the chance.
I had the pleasure of designing the album artwork for Apollo Piero's new album, Lyrical Elixirs. Apollo is a local rap artist located in the Chapel Hill area. He's taken a few years off from making music, and is now a teacher. He wanted to show the slow transformation of his sound, and the subtle layer of each track. He compared his process of producing each track to alchemy, which was a huge inspiration for the design. Check out his new music here.
The Playhouse logo was a lot of fun to work on. A friend of mine that works for a church referred me when their children's ministry was wanting to rebrand. It was a great opportunity to have fun, and create something with a bit of whimsy. I created the type so that it could function in the detailed, illustration version, as well as a flat, one-color logo.
Ryan A.S. Jones, the talent behind Rytography, is a photographer that is currently located in Chapel Hill, NC. He needed a logo that could work well as a watermark on many different types of photos, as well as, represent who he is as a visual storyteller.
I've had the opportunity to work with Ryan on multiple projects, most currently his #locationUNC photo contest. I helped with the art direction of the campaign, and also branded the endeavor.
Ryan's photography never fails to tell a story, and it continues to inspire me. See more of his work.
Catie King is a singer/songwriter located in Raleigh, NC. I had the privilege of designing her most recent EP, Suspended. Girl is going places. Check out some of her stuff here.
The photos for this project were taken by the talented Ryan A.S. Jones.
Composer Central is a website that allows composers to sell their original compositions. The concept draws from the idea of arranging sound, and balancing complexity with simplicity.
Tinto coffe is a small coffee shop based in the UK that was looking into developing a customer loyalty app. This is concept art that I created for the project before it was eventually sidelined.
Eggstravaganza is a community egg hunt and spring festival. The idea behind this design was to be fun and family-oriented, without being too literal with the usual Easter cliches.
Plastic Penguin is a creative web and graphics collective that I started with my developer friend, Steven Goodson.
Standpoint Technologies is an tech company located in Huntersville, NC. This update to their branding represents their company slogan of "Versatile solutions that drive your business."
Coco O is a small startup women's brand that specializes in homemade, unique products. The concept draws from a modern, chic take on a monogram, which let's the customer know each product is made to their personal preferences.
